This book provides an excellent introduction to the breed, and is considered essential reading for the new Rhodesian Ridgeback owner. It covers the history of the breed and is a record of the establishment of the breed in Australia. It has useful sections on the standard, training, showing, racing of, and living with your Rhodesian Ridgeback, and much more. The photograph section makes your dog’s pedigree come alive. A very readable book.

Very comprehensive book. Part 1 describes the Rhodesian Ridgeback in general and its evolution and history in detail. Part 2 describes the Rhodesian Ridgeback in detail by means of the written standard and his analysis of the standard. Part 3 covers buying, training and breeding. Great on technical explanations that you can understand.
